High Museum paper

My favorite work of art is Purissima , 1927 by Joseph Stella. I like the scenery, mostly back ground moutains and moon. I also like the way the swans are set up toward the woman, as if she shines like the moon behind her. This is a oil on canvas.

Adam and Eve by Sara sheehan; I love the shading and tox like appereance of this piece, but I would not take it home mainly because its to simple in the sence that nothing really stands out at you. this is a charcoal drawing

This piece of art felt sad because the woman working on the knitting seems to be in a trance not really loving what shes doing. The room is confined to a small and crowded space; thats not comfortable. If you look in the over head light youll see a man staring at her while she works which gives a uncomfortable feeling.
This piece of art work shocked me the most. It looks like a monkey of some sorts, combined with a animal with horns; mabe a bull. Its crazy looking.
Th part most meaningful to me was being able to spend the day with my girl, who lovess art. We went around picking out art works we liked, then rated them on a scale of 1 to 5.

Poetry Slam

poetry slam is the competitive art of performance. Here we have a guy acting out a scene from a play.

Artist that I have met

First up is my cusin Anthony, who is 14 years old and almost taller than me. He likes to draw and make up different characters and then put them in a foreign land. An example would be a samurai and a big city like New York. I asked him why he loves to draw, and he told me that "its just a part of me and helps me express how he feel. i sometimes feel so out of place in this family." That some deep stuff.

This here is my cusin C.J. and he is a shoe designer. He stays up for hours at a time drawing different backgrounds and other colorful designs on all types of shoes. When I asked him what drove him to just one day start designing shoes, he said" Man I dont know zae, I was just bored one day and started drawing; the next thing i know im looking down at my creation and I felt good about it so I kept on designing just to satisfy myself."
Norman, another cusin that lives to draw. Didnt get to enter view.

The art of american culture is diverse in each race background. They all come together to make what we call american art.
